New Insulator Block for High Temperature Tools

Wauconda, IL – June 12, 2019 – Progressive has announced the release of its Insulator Block, installed on the outside of the mold to protect Progressive’s CounterViews and CVe Monitors from temperatures found when molding high-temperature resins.

The maximum temperature for a CounterView is 120°C/250°F, and a CVe Monitor is 90°C/190°F. When the Insulator Block is installed, both units will perform with mold temperatures up to 180°C/360°F.

The Insulator Block can be installed on either half of the tool, but for the CVe Monitor, the stationary side is recommended for optimal cable routing, and units are available in both Inch and Metric versions, complete with ¼-20 or M6 screws.

“More and more molds are running higher temperature materials,” states Glenn Starkey, president at Progressive Components. “Meanwhile, it has become ‘standard equipment’ for tools to have either a CV Cycle Counter or CVe electronic mold monitor. This exclusive Insulator Block removes a barrier to those mold buyers specifying monitoring products on their tools.”
