Progressive Wins The 2018 Best Places To Work Award

Global supplier to the tooling and molding industry based in Wauconda, Illinois, Progressive Components, received the first-place designation of Best Places to Work at the Plastics News Executive Forum, March 6th, 2018, in Naples, Florida. The company ranked number 2 in 2017, moving up to the number 1 spot in 2018 in a field of 17 finalists. 

Company owners Don Starkey and Glenn Starkey credited the company’s team for helping to make this award possible. “The path to customer excellence is the result of our highly engaged employees,” stated Don Starkey. 

Crain Publication's Plastics News’ “Best Places to Work” award is a survey driven competition designed to identify which participants are the best employers in the North American plastics industry. Managed by Best Companies Group (BCG), an independent research firm that specializes in identifying and recognizing great places to work, information and input is obtained from employee satisfaction surveys and management questionnaires. 

Ninety-three percent of employees from the top 17 Best Places to Work companies said their employer treats them like a person, not a number. As well, 95 percent of employees from the Best Places to Work companies said they like the people they work with. Overall, 95 percent of Best Places companies' employees said they are "very satisfied" with their employer and are proud to work there.
