Progressive Offers Exclusive Support Pillar Options!
Every mold has Support Pillars, but until now, suppliers have had limited options. Progressive recognized this gap and now provides exclusive components for efficient mold building that include:
Stainless Steel Pillars
Progressive's NEW Stainless Steel Support Pillars are an off-the-shelf advantage that is ideal for medical molds. This series of Pillars are available in standard 1" to 3" diameters, lengths from 2.5" to 6", and ground to precise industry standards.
Guided Support Pillars
When space is limited, Guided Support Pillars align ejector systems while also providing B Plate support in the same location. Hardened to 58-62 HRC, these pillars are used with Progressive's non-galling Guided Ejector Bushings.
Longer Length Options
For large molds, there is no need to make custom pillars: each 2.5", 4.5", and 8" long Threaded Support Pillar is tapped at both ends to allow a second pillar to be attached for a longer overall length.
If your application still requires pillars not offered as a standard, Progressive can provide custom pillars for a competitive price and delivery, allowing shop personnel to focus on cavity/core work rather than manufacturing mold base components.
