Progressive Components announces the expansion of several product lines to now include new metric-sized options.
At K2025, in Düsseldorf, Germany, Progressive introduced several new metric components, including:
Runner Turn Offs (RTO): A reliable method for blocking or redirecting material flow within the runner, which is especially common with family mold tooling. With reliable click-in-place positioning, new Runner Turn Offs are available in 16mm and 24mm diameters, in styles with and without a center ejector pin. The RTO offers convenient holding during machining of the pre-hardened 420 SS assembly, which is then located into position with a press fit flat.
Slide Lock Style Retainers: Available in lengths of 38mm, 53mm, and 56mm, Progressive’s new Slide Lock Style Retainers are designed to prevent wear on the bottom of slides, delivering smooth, greaseless performance in medical and cosmetic applications. Reliably holding 11 to 22 kgs each, color-coded springs indicate the force rating, with optional cleats available for retention on the slide or machine the V-groove at the bottom.
Radial Springs: For optimum protection of telescoping shut-offs, Progressive’s Radial Springs lift and center inserts before Cavity Interlocks engage. Instead of rigidly bolting inserts to the mold base, stripper bolts allow the Radial Spring’s pressure to reduce side forces and pressure on locks and inserts. Radial Springs are available in sizes of 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm in diameter.
Safety Straps: Progressive’s Safety Straps safely secure parting lines during mold transport and storage. Designed to prevent the shearing of the bolts, these straps feature an engineered breakpoint that allows for easy replacement without the need to move the mold base before machining out the sheared bolt. Safety Straps are available in 42mm, 64mm, and 86mm lengths and are compatible with previous standards.
