EJECTOR SPRING RETENTION

Progressive’s Spring Cups expedite and simplify the safe assembly of spring-loaded ejector systems, help prevent damage to ejector pins and components, and optimize valuable space within a mold’s design.

  • When using Spring Cups, springs are installed last, allowing for verification of a smooth-running ejector system before spring installation.
  • This assembly method enhances safety by eliminating spring-loaded moving mold plates.
  • Spring Cups can also double as a PKO extension, serving as two components at one location.
  • NEW: Four new 1.302” sizes have been added to accommodate a .25” insulator plate.
  • CAD geometry is available in multiple formats: SolidWorks, NX, VISI, and Neutral (.step, and .x_t) formats.

Spring Cup Applications.

  • With Spring Cups, springs are installed last, which enables verification of a smooth-running ejector system prior to spring installation.
  • Assembly is safer by eliminating spring-loaded moving mold plates.
  • An application-suited spring can be selected by designers and placed away from more valuable locations within the mold.
  • Can be placed at PKO locations as a space-saving option.
  • Available in seven sizes to accommodate common spring diameters and standard plate thicknesses.
  • CAD geometry is available in multiple formats: SolidWorks, NX, VISI, and Neutral .step, and .x_t formats.

“We have found Spring Cups to be a great addition to our molds, as we include them as part of our design standards. Our customers’ mold maintenance teams mentioned how Spring Cups have made mold assembly safer and faster, and that it’s the best new product idea they have seen in years.”
